Sunil K. Manvada, is a Registered Physiotherapist with
the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. He completed his Bachelorís and Masterís
Program in Physiotherapy from Manipal University- India. As such, he is perfectly
fluent in the Hindi, Telugu and Kannada languages.
Sunil completed his Masterís program in Musculo-Skeletal (Orthopedic)
Physiotherapy and Manual Therapy. He obtained his Manual Therapy training
from the faculties of Loma Linda University, United States and directly from
Physiotherapists who were trained at the University of South Australia.
Sunil has more than 12 years of experience in treating patients with complex
Neurological and Musculoskeletal problems. He keeps pace with the latest advances
in Physiotherapy. He has special interest and formal training at the Masterís level in
Neural Tissue, Maitland, McKenzie and Mulliganís mobilization techniques that are
used for disorders of the Spine (Low Back & Neck Pain).
God given hands are better than Man made machines and this shows in
Sunilís treatment approach. He will work closely with the Medical Doctors at
our Bristol office to offer the best treatment options for the correct diagnosis.
Sunil has a very sound academic background. Before arriving in Canada he
worked as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of the Physiotherapy
at Sikkim Manipal University in India. At one point he was the Principal of Swatantra
Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation: a post-graduate Physiotherapy
institute affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
He has conducted more then 20 Physiotherapy hands on workshops for Registered
Physiotherapists all across India and is actively involved in bringing awareness of the
preventative measures in the Geriatric population here in Mississauga.
